Google Maps is more than just a mapping engine to get us from A – B. This is probably what most us use the popular free service for, but there are many more features which lots of us will know about – such as finding out how many of a type of shop there are near us, find opening times, phone numbers, websites and of course physical addresses.
For us, the interesting thing is that Google Maps works very much like a search engine, which you can ask questions. To use an example of one of our most recent clients, Coles Solicitors, you can see from the images below, that there is more than one way to find out the information you’re looking for when using Google Maps.
Whether it’s looking for your local solicitors office, or one down the road in Thirsk, Northallerton, even a wider search in Yorkshire, to a specific search for “Coles Solicitors, Northallerton”, “Coles York” or “Solicitors in Thirsk”, Google Maps will get you to the information you need. You can even ask for directions in the form of “how do I get to Coles in York”.
As you can see from our slideshow of images, below, Google Maps is smarter than the average map.
